The southeast San Francisco neighborhood of Visitacion Valley is experiencing enormous change and about to go through intensive development of certain key sites in the area. The VVPA was formed in 1999 to gather community consensus on the direction that development will take.
There are issues of transportation, traffic, urban sprawl, neighborhood-serving development, housing, beautification, education, and ecology, as well as issues of equity and justice, that need to be faced immediately. There is a small window of time for our community to positively define our neighborhood.
The VVPA holds meetings on the second Saturday of each month at the Visitacion Valley Community Center at 66 Raymond Avenue, just off Bayshore Blvd.
